TECH HAPPENS / HRRM (Human Robot Relationship Management) + ROCOM

Get people, robots and hospital systems working together.

Robots create value when they become part of the workflow. Tech Happens is developing HRRM (Human Robot Relationship Management) to coordinate tasks across people, robot fleets and building systems — with ROCOM as an open foundation for interoperability.

HRRM × ROCOM → People · Robots · Buildings · Tasks
HRRM + ROCOM

From individual robots to connected workflows

A transport task is more than a journey. Someone requests it, a resource must be available, a door must open and a lift must be accessible. We connect these steps.

HRRM

HRRM · The platform

Coordinate tasks and available resources across people, robot fleets, task systems and BMS. Existing systems retain their roles; people retain decision-making authority.

ROCOM

ROCOM · The open standard

ROCOM belongs to an independent non-profit association. Tech Happens participates as a member and provides secretariat services. HRRM is our commercial product in development, based on ROCOM. The standard also supports other platforms and providers.

Four coordination areas. One shared foundation.

Robot · Robots and fleet systems

Missions, robot capabilities and execution status. Local robot control and safety remain with robot and fleet suppliers.

Infrastructure · Buildings and access

Doors, lifts and shared spaces connect through BMS and access systems. Building systems decide what access is permitted.

Workforce · People and capacity

Availability, skills and staffing from existing systems, respecting human responsibilities and decisions.

Task · Tasks and needs

Task systems communicate needs, priority and progress. Receiving a mission, starting work and completing delivery are distinct states.

From needs to documented value

Initial analysis

Map tasks, systems and bottlenecks. Select a workflow and agree objectives.

Scoped pilot

Test integration and workflow against clear acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes. Compare with today’s workflow: delivery reliability, time spent coordinating and handling exceptions.

Deployment

Plan integration, responsibilities, training and operation in the customer’s environment.

License and service

An annual agreement for software, support and agreed updates.

What could a scoped pilot include?

Examples to agree with your organisation — not completed deployments.

Linen transport on one route

One robot fleet, one pickup point and one delivery point, with a door and optionally a lift. Test the complete task flow, access requests and handling of refusals or unavailable infrastructure.

Shared task coordination

One ward, one task type and a limited group of people and robots. Compare assignment, status and handover with today’s workflow.

Agree scope, responsibilities, data access and acceptance criteria before starting. Measure delivery time, coordination effort and exceptions against a baseline.

Clear permissions. Clear responsibilities.

Who may request a door opening? What data may be shared? What happens when a lift is unavailable? ROCOM describes interfaces and responsibilities; HRRM is being developed to put coordination into operation. Robot and building safety systems retain authority.

Agree integration scope and evidence in the pilot. A conformance declaration, independent certification and demonstrated benefits are different things. We make no blanket ROCOM certification claim for HRRM.
